I learned the specificities of environmental fieldwork in the context of Northern BC (context of fisheries, salmon ecology, best practices relating to works near water, global watershed management, etc.). This placement also allowed me the get familiar with the regulatory framework of BC (fisheries act, federal and provincial jurisdictions) and the most common requirements for projects located near environmentally sensitive areas (EMP, ESCP, EMR, etc.).
